Information about the discount rate used in the estimation of intrinsic value can be found in two key places.
One is the Glossary page entry for "discount rate" at Global Value Investing (see link at the top of Intrinsic Value Forum).
The second is the help screen linked to the "Discount Rate" input data item which is located on the second page of each DCF Valuator model. At the bottom of Discount Rate help screen will be found a link to "cost of capital worksheet" for more detail.
To reach the help screen, go to DCF Valuator (see link at top of Intrinsic Value Forum) and invoke any model, then click the Next button at the bottom of page one of the model, and then click on Discount Rate in the form on the second page of the model.
Global Value Investing can be searched with the Search Site feature located among the navigation links at the top of each major page.
The discount rate for estimating intrinsic value may have been a topic in one of the Insigher newsletters. Back issues can be viewed at the Insighter page within the DCF Valuator website and can be found at the Global Value Investing Site Map.
